Stakeholder conference as part of the U.S.-Germany Cyber Bilateral Meeting at the Digital Society Institute at ESMT

The Digital Society Institute (DSI) at ESMT European School of Management and Technology is hosting a video conference with stakeholders as part of the fourth U.S.-German Cyber Bilateral Meeting today. The discussion series is an initiative of the German and U.S. governments to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in areas such as cybersecurity, cybercrime, and Internet freedom. One part of the dialogue is an exchange among stakeholders in both countries about cyber-related issues. DSI is hosting it this year at ESMT together with the German Federal Foreign office and the U.S. Department of State in the form of a video conference.
The U.S.-Germany Cyber Bilateral Meetings are held annually in the United States or Germany with to involve all relevant governmental parties in a dialogue about current cyber issues. Additional discussions inform stakeholders of the current status of the bilateral dialogue. Participants of this year’s video conference at the DSI at ESMT in Berlin include Christopher Painter, Coordinator for Cyber Issues at the U.S. Department of State, and Ambassador Thomas Fitschen, Federal Foreign Office representative for the United Nations, cyber foreign policy, and the fight against terrorism.
