ESMT Berlin starts dual degree program in Qatar
The 21-month program is the first of its kind outside of the United States. Participants are, on average, 33 years old and have nine years of professional experience. Fifty-six percent of the class are women.
“We strive for diversity at ESMT and are delighted to break 50% female participation with this program,” said Nick Barniville, Associate Dean of Degree Programs.
The modular EMBA/EMPA, held in English at the Qatar campus of the Doha Institute, is aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030, whose aim is to enhance the private sector and diversify the economy. The program is designed to combine business and public administration. Fitting with this philosophy, the class represents a mix from leading energy, healthcare, education, and financial services companies, as well as from several government ministries. The experienced leaders from private, public, and non-profit sectors will develop their leadership skills during the three or four-day modules held each month.
