ESMT Berlin supports international exchange with Smart Business Leaders Program for Malaysian CEOs
- ESMT Berlin cooperates again with K-Pintar Academy
- Outstanding German companies offer hands-on insights for Malaysian managers during six-day program
From October 9-14, 2016, the practice-oriented Smart Business Leaders Program is taking place at ESMT Berlin for the second time. The program is organized in cooperation with K-Pintar Sendirian Berhad, a leading provider for human resource development from Kuala Lumpur. The six-day leadership program offers a platform for international exchange for Malaysian CEOs. The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), a Malaysian governing authority for human resources, supports the participants.
The program consists of managers from smaller and medium-sized Malaysian enterprises from sectors such as production and technology. During the program, participants will discuss the topics of industry 4.0, global competition of small and medium-sized enterprises against major corporations, as well as entrepreneurship and innovation management in the digital age, among others. The Malaysian managers will gain comprehensive insights into the development of German industry and learn how their German counterparts advance innovative business ideas in the global marketplace. Moreover, the participants will not only visit German companies such as BMW factory Leipzig, a manufacturer of electric vehicles, and LEDVANCE in Berlin, a leading provider for innovative and intelligent lighting applications, but will also attend the presentation of the Advanced Materials Competition, an international contest for startups focusing on high-tech products.
“The leadership program strengthens the increasing Malaysian mittelstand“, says Bianca Schmitz, program director at ESMT. “The site visits allow an intense exchange between Malaysian and German companies outside the classroom.”
