Harald Hungenberg joins ESMT Berlin as Dean of Executive Education

Prof. Harald Hungenberg has been appointed Dean of Executive Education at ESMT Berlin. As of September 1, 2019, he will succeed Dr. Norbert Sack in this position. Hungenberg will be supported by Associate Dean of Executive Education Prof. Gianluca Carnabuci.

Harald Hungenberg is currently Chaired Professor of Management at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg. He teaches worldwide in executive education programs of leading companies and is a consultant and lecturer for strategy, innovation, and change management. He has previously also worked for INSEAD and Duke Corporate Education. After studying business administration in Giessen, Germany, he completed an MBA at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company. Hungenberg has been a guest lecturer at ESMT for many years.

“Harald Hungenberg has excellent knowledge of both the German and international markets for executive education,” says ESMT President Jörg Rocholl. “With his extensive experience in the academic field and in providing strategic support to globally operating companies, he is ideally suited to further expand our executive education programs internationally.” In the recently published Financial Times executive education ranking, ESMT was again the top business school in Germany and placed 12th worldwide.
